About Veterinary Dental Services

Our Doctors

Dr. Laura M. LeVan is a diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College. She graduated from Ontario Veterinary College in 1976 and practiced small animal medicine until 1993 when she opened Moblie Veterinary Dental Services. In 1992, she joined the staff of Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts Universityas a Clinical Assistant Professor seeing the veterinary dental cases, and in 1999 she opened Veterinary Dental Services. Dr. LeVan has been interviewed for many newspaper articles and has lectured to a variety of audiences including veterinarians, veterinary students, the public and dental residents.

Dr. Bonnie H. Shope is a Diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. As a veterinary student, Dr. Shope developed an interest in veterinary dentistry. She practiced small animal medicine after graduation, then joined Veterinary Dental Services in 2000. She concurrently worked as a Clinical Assistant Professor, running the dental department at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University from 2002 to 2007.

All of the technicians at Veterinary Dental Services have taken and passed the certification examination of the American Society of Veterinary Dental Technicians.
